The Wandersalon is the mobile discourse format of Urbane Künste Ruhr. In discussion rounds, lectures, readings or concerts, it intensifies and expands the engagement with the themes of our exhibition formats and serves as an internal and external research tool. Since March 2018, the Wandersalon has usually taken place once a month at changing locations in the Ruhr area, often in cooperation with local institutions. Invitations are extended to artists and collectives who are currently involved in an exchange with Urbane Künste Ruhr, but also to other specialists, academics and theoreticians who have interesting things to say and whose poetry, ideas and critical reflections are suitable for public discussion.
