The industrial history of the Ruhr region is still linked to the steel industry today. However, the large textile and clothing industry, in which mainly women were employed, lost over 50,000 jobs in the course of structural change. Today, little remains of this industry. Together with the speakers Alicia Gorny, Dr. Susanne Peters-Schildgen and Brigitte Schneider, the artists want to enter into dialogue with the women workers and work out the gaps and their reasons in the representation of these women.
