With Dortmund's Nordmarkt as the location for this special stop of the Grand Snail Tour, we have chosen a lively place whose restaurants and cafés in the neighbouring streets are associated with key experiences and memories for many Dortmund residents with transnational biographies. The Grand Snail Tour trailer forms the anchor point of the festival:
Together with the participants of a mapping workshop, artist Jordi Colomer has redesigned the trailer and will present his work on site. Rebecca Racine Ramershoven and Lütfiye Güzel will show their current and upcoming projects for the tour. Havîn Al-Sîndy will perform with robots, together with young people from neighbouring schools, while Iden Sungyoung Kim will hold a tea ceremony in memory of the Korean migrant workers who immigrated in the 1960s and 1970s. The choristers of the Migrant*innenverein under the direction of Kemal Dinç will accompany the event with music. The poet Nail Doğan visited the Nordstadt several times and has turned his impressions and thoughts into a theatre play for two actors. The Kiosk of Solidarity initiative in collaboration with KOBER, a counselling centre for sex workers and women in precarious living situations based in the Nordstadt, will be presenting their work. Taranta Babu's book table will also be dedicated to specific content. After the sporting debate in Cem A.'s Crit Club, the political-satirical panel discussion Pentagon by Keuning.haus with Aladin El-Mafaalani will take place live in public space for the first time at the end of the festival on Saturday. Afterwards, the evening will end with DJ sets by DJ ÖZ and Tutku Kaplan.
