Hans Ostapenko

The artist Hans Ostapenko grew up in Ukraine and has been living in Dortmund since 2006. In his practice, he is interested in fences and walls both as materials and demarcation lines. He is an active member of the NGO Ukraine Support Bochum. In its focus on ideologically charged architecture and the exploration of urban spaces, the eight-member Ukrainian collective MNPL straddles the boundary between visual art and architecture.
