Daniel Sadrowski (born in 1971 in Nordkirchen) initially studied social sciences with the aim of becoming a journalist. His passion for photography led him to study photo design in Dortmund, where he earned his diploma in 2003. From 2007 to 2010, he attended a master class taught by Prof. Arno Fischer at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin. In 2010, he co-founded the Projektraum Fotografie in Dortmund. This space serves as a studio, photo lab, independent event venue, and exhibition space for photography and art. He remained a co-operator until 2021. As a photographer, he works for cultural institutions—including Urbane Künste Ruhr—as well as for urban planning agencies. Since 2014, he has also been a regular photographer for the street magazine BODO (based in Bochum and Dortmund). In his self-selected, mostly topographical themes, he repeatedly explores structural change in the Ruhr region.
