Anael Berkovitz is an interdisciplinary artist, living and working between Brooklyn and Tel-Aviv. Berkoviz’s work draws on photography, film, installation and narration as means of examining the creation and perception of identity. By combining the documentary and the surreal, Berkovitz constructs strange and dislocated scapes and environments. Berkovitz holds an MFA from Hunter college, USA (2017), a BA from the Faculty of Humanities, The Open University, IL (2015), and a diploma from Minshar College of Art, IL (2013).
Berkovitz has taken part in residencies at the Scharoun Gallery space, Germany (2021) and the Bauhaus Meisterhäuser, Germany (2018). She has exhibited HEIMWEH at Scharoun Gallery space (2021) and A-okay, duo exhibition with Michal Luft, at Artspace TLV (2020). She has also shown in numerous group exhibitions such as Dynasties in Ein Hod gallery, IL (2024) und Susoio in Susoio studio and gallery, IL (2024).
