Juan Moreno

Juan Moreno (*1972 in Huércal-Overa) is a Spanish journalist and writer who grew up in Germany. He has worked as a freelance author for Der Spiegel since 2007 and uncovered the fakes of his colleague Claas Relotius in 2018. Moreno studied economics in Constance, Florence and Cologne and graduated from the German School of Journalism. He previously worked for Süddeutsche Zeitung, ARD and Phoenix, among others. He initially reported on sport and society at Der Spiegel, and now mainly covers foreign affairs. He has hosted several Spiegel podcasts and currently presents Moreno+1. As an author, he has published collections of columns and a biography of Hoeneß. His novel Cindy liebt mich nicht, written with Jochen-Martin Gutsch, was made into a film in 2010. He was admitted to the PEN Centre Germany in 2020.

Bönen

Begleitet wird die Grand Snail Tour von Künstler*innen aus dem Bereich Literatur, Fotografie und Zeichnung, die zeitgleich zum Aufenthalt des Tourmobils, Eindrücke und Reflexionen aus jeweils derselben Stadt sammeln und diese sie visuell oder literarisch ins Bild setzen. So entsteht ein Paratext zur 3-jährigen Tour, der in Form einer Reisechronik, ein Kaleidoskop an Geschichten, Verbindungen, Momentaufnahmen in den 53 Städten der Region als Gleichzeitigkeiten und Ungleichzeitigkeiten zur Grand Snail Tour sichtbar werden lässt.
