Florian Tampe (*1975) lives and works in Hamburg. In his work he deals in with spaces, materials and the people for whom he constructs them. Already his long-term project DETOX I-IV from 2008 – 2012 dealt with "hot spaces": public, walk-in installations and at the same time intimate spaces where people can sweat and enter into dialogue. In collaboration with Christiane Schuller, Marion Walter, Anna Hirschmann and Heizer, various types of sweat places were thus designed, built and opened to public in Hamburg, Linz and Geneva. After Verschwitzt and Zunderbüchse, SusiSauna is Florian Tampe's latest project: a caravan converted into a sauna that visitors can experience and try out at the Summit.
Florian Tampe is a member of Materialverwaltung Hamburg and was involved in the project Materialverwaltung on Tour in Bochum. While the tour ended with its last exhibit Moondog at documenta15 in Kassel, material initiatives from Germany and Switzerland networked there with the goal of founding a joint umbrella organization.
