The Troubadour by Ari Benjamin Meyers in Coproduction with the Manifesta 16 Ruhr
3.7.2026

The Troubadour will travel through the Ruhr region moving from Dortmund to Duisburg, from town to town, from performance to performance, from encounter to encounter. Central is the idea of continuous presence: Travelling, resting, rehearsing and performing as one uninterrupted journey; a musical experiment in which conversations, hospitality and shared experiences give rise to an ever-expanding repertoire of songs, texts and stories. What is heard, lived and exchanged in one place is carried forward into the next.

The Enduring Performance will take place from 10.8. to 10.9., at various locations across the Ruhr region, as well as on 19.9. at the Ev. Stadtkirche Sankt Petri in Dortmund. Further dates will be announced on our website.

The Troubadour by Ari Benjamin Meyers is a coproduction with Manifesta 16 Ruhr and part of our exhibition Uncanny Shifts.

Hamm
