Kiosk of Solidarity

The Kiosk of Solidarity is a mobile meeting point in public space. It goes where exchange, participation, and lived solidarity are needed – in squares, neighbourhoods, or places of social tension. Since 2023, more than 25 solidarity-based initiatives and projects have each used the Kiosk for several days. Through diverse formats, they bring together neighbours, allies, and other interested people, temporarily bringing their solidarity practices into public urban space. The Kiosk creates visibility for marginalized groups and connects them with other initiatives. The Kiosk project team, together with students from TU Berlin, supports the initiatives in realizing their ideas for using the Kiosk. As part of the Dortmund stop of the Grand Snail Tour, the Kiosk is cooperating with the KOBER counseling center.

Team Dortmund: Moritz Ahlert, Nura Mohammed Ahmed, Melina Haseleu, Anna-Sophie Heimes, Monika Keller, Anne Reiber, Katerina Tzouvala.

Hamminkeln

The Grand Snail Tour will be accompanied by literary, photographic and illustrative artists, who will collect impressions and reflections from the same city at the same time as the Trailer is there and put them into visual or literary form. The result is a paratext on the three-year tour, a travel chronicle in the form of a kaleidoscope of stories, connections and snapshots in the 53 cities of the region, revealing the simultaneities and non-simultaneities of the Grand Snail Tour.

Hamminkeln by Erdem Teper

zurecht, dass er den menschen überlebt;
während die zeit bereits
das leichentuch des menschen webt
und der baum schaut den menschen an,
beide aus haut, rinde und knochen
nur hat der neue mensch
seine beziehung zur natur unterbrochen
