With Ruhr Ding: Territorien, Urbane Künste Ruhr 2019 presented 22 art projects at very different locations in the four cities of Bochum, Dortmund, Essen and Oberhausen from 4 May to 30 June. Based on the Ruhr region as a region characterised by territorial issues in the narrower sense and the accompanying phenomena of increasing globalisation such as migration and nationalism in the broader sense, the exhibition deals with the relationship between identity and territories.
