Stephanie Kiwitt (*1972 in Bonn) studied photography at the ITF, Opava University, Czech Republic, and at the HGB Leipzig. In her site-specific works, she develops specific photographic perspectives, structures of image narrative and sometimes texts. She is currently focussing on the living space in rural regions using the example of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, where she photographs traces of transformation and conducts interviews with residents. She has been a professor of communication design/photography at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle since 2020.

Schermbeck

The Grand Snail Tour will be accompanied by literary, photographic and illustrative artists, who will collect impressions and reflections from the same city at the same time as the Trailer is there and put them into visual or literary form. The result is a paratext on the three-year tour, a travel chronicle in the form of a kaleidoscope of stories, connections and snapshots in the 53 cities of the region, revealing the simultaneities and non-simultaneities of the Grand Snail Tour.
