Nino Kvrivishvili is a Georgian artist living in Tbilisi, Georgia. She studied textile design at the State Academy of Art in Tbilisi until 2007 and reflects in her artistic work on the history and personal stories in the context of the textile production in her country, which was a central branch of industry in Soviet times. Nino Kvrivishvili interweaves her examination with personal stories from her family and explores the question of how memories can be inscribed in artistic objects.
Nino Kvrivishvili's works have been shown in exhibitions at the Museum Wäschefabrik in Bielefeld (2021), the Weltkunstzimmer in Düsseldorf (2018) and the State Silk Museum in Tbilisi (2016), among others. She participated in residency programmes of the Museum Kunst der Westküste (2018) on the island of Föhr, of the Frauenkulturbüro NRW e.V. (2018) in Düsseldorf or the KCCC Residency (2014) in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
