Masixole Ncevu is an artist and practitioner of sensory ethnography; his work encompasses in-depth theoretical and conceptual research. He integrates various media – such as photography, film, drawing, performance and sound – into his artistic practice. Inspired by the immaterial realm, postcolonial theory and diverse decolonial ideologies, his interest lies in the sociological and psychological applications of photography.
Begleitet wird die Grand Snail Tour von Künstler*innen aus dem Bereich Literatur, Fotografie und Illustration, die zeitgleich zum Aufenthalt des Tourmobils, Eindrücke und Reflexionen aus jeweils derselben Stadt sammeln und diese sie visuell oder literarisch ins Bild setzen. So entsteht ein Paratext zur 3-jährigen Tour, der in Form einer Reisechronik, ein Kaleidoskop an Geschichten, Verbindungen, Momentaufnahmen in den 53 Städten der Region als Gleichzeitigkeiten und Ungleichzeitigkeiten zur Grand Snail Tour sichtbar werden lässt.
Georg Kussmann was born in 1989. As part of his artistic work, he realizes his own projects and collaborations in the fields of photo books, artistic documentaries and experimental feature films.
