Eva Ruth Wemme

Eva Ruth Wemme, born in Paderborn in 1973, studied in Cologne, Berlin, and Bucharest. She has worked as a prison interpreter and dramaturge at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz theater, among other things, and is active as a Gestalt therapist, author, and translator. She has translated works by Nora Iuga, Stefan Agopian, and Adrian Schiop from Romanian, among others. She received the 2019 Leipzig Book Fair Prize in the translation category for Gabriela Adameșteanu's work “Verlorener Morgen” (Die Andere Bibliothek Verlag). As an author, she received the 2010 scholarship from the Authors' Workshop of the Literary Colloquium Berlin and the Alfred Döblin Scholarship. She lives and works in Berlin. Verbrecher Verlag published “Meine 7000 Nachbarn” (My 7000 Neighbors) (2015) and, in collaboration with Silvia Cristina Stan, the novel “Amalinca” (2018).

Gemeinsam mit den Kuratorinnen Britta Peters und Alisha Raissa Danscher besuchen wir verschiedene Standorte der Ausstellung Unheimliche Verschiebungen und laden zum Erkunden der Werke und ihrer Umgebungen ein. Die Führung findet in deutscher Sprache statt und dauert etwa zwei Stunden.
