Borjana Ventzislavova

Bulgarian artist Borjana Ventzislavova sits in a colourful hammock in her studio, where she works with video, film, photography and installations and often shows her work in public spaces.

Borjana Ventzislavova (born in Sofia, Bulgaria) lives in Vienna and works with video, film, photography, installation and often works in public space. In her practice she often blurs the boundaries between documentary and fiction exploring the connection between personal experiences and societal issues. Borjana Ventzislavova’s works have been presented internationally at Kunstforum Wien, National Gallery Sofia or ICA London, and at festivals such as transmediale in Berlin. The artist received numerous awards, including the City of Vienna Promotion Award 2017, and has participated in residencies in London, Rome, Los Angeles, and New York. Her works are included in collections of the Belvedere 21 or the Viennese museum MUSA.

Lünen

Begleitet wird die Grand Snail Tour von Künstler*innen aus dem Bereich Literatur, Fotografie und Illustration, die zeitgleich zum Aufenthalt des Tourmobils, Eindrücke und Reflexionen aus jeweils derselben Stadt sammeln und diese sie visuell oder literarisch ins Bild setzen. So entsteht ein Paratext zur 3-jährigen Tour, der in Form einer Reisechronik, ein Kaleidoskop an Geschichten, Verbindungen, Momentaufnahmen in den 53 Städten der Region als Gleichzeitigkeiten und Ungleichzeitigkeiten zur Grand Snail Tour sichtbar werden lässt.

Nino Bulling

Nino Bulling is an artist and author who works in the fields of installation, drawing and publishing. He has written four graphic novels. His most recent publication to date is the anthology Cutes: Collected queer and trans comics, which he co-edited with Nour Hifaoui and Joseph Kai from the collective Samandal.
