Circular Routes
To experience Ruhr Ding: Klima in all its facets, a bicycle tour is a good idea. In order to facilitate orientation within the exhibition, we recommend three different circular routes in the cities of Gelsenkirchen, Herne and Recklinghausen by bicycle.
The circular routes connect all art locations in the respective cities and can also be combined with each other. The routes can be accessed via GoogleMaps or via download of the gps tracks. Navigation is also possible on the road via the komoot cycling app. It also enables the creation of individual exhibition routes in connection with the various other sights of the Ruhr Area.
We recommend planning two days for the entire exhibition visit. Red flags mark the locations. On site, our experienced exhibition supervisors will provide information about the projects.
If you have any questions about the tours or booking procedure, our visitor service is available Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3pm:

Guided Tours
Accompanying the exhibition, an extensive guided tour programme has been developed. On the Irrlichter-Tours, our trained art educators will set out together with visitors to explore the Ruhr Ding. The Irrlichter-Tours invite visitors to view the art projects from different perspectives, to get to know unfamiliar places and to rediscover the familiar. The focus is on chatting together about the themes we encounter along the way.
If you have any questions about the tours or booking procedure, our visitor service is available Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3pm:
Tel.: +49 (0)234/ 97483509
e-mail: besucherservice@urbanekuensteruhr.de
Accompanying the exhibition, a podcast has been created which is dedicated to the art, themes and locations of the exhibition and offers a first glimpse of what can be experienced on the Irrlichter-Tours.
To the podcast.
The outreach programme Irrlichter-Tours is supported by E.ON Stiftung.
