Stefan Marx

Stefan Marx is an artist and illustrator. He develops designs for various companies, creates the artwork for record covers and fanzines, but has also developed a design for the Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur. His drawings are often created spontaneously on the go - at the airport, on the train or in a café. He captures his observations visually, just as he captures statements and quotes from songs or everyday conversations typographically. He now shows the resulting, often humorous works, which are characterized by a DIY aesthetic rather than perfectionism, in galleries and exhibition venues.  Stefan Marx (*1979) lives in Berlin.

Oer-Erkenschwick

The Grand Snail Tour will be accompanied by literary, photographic and illustrative artists, who will collect impressions and reflections from the same city at the same time as the Trailer is there and put them into visual or literary form. The result is a paratext on the three-year tour, a travel chronicle in the form of a kaleidoscope of stories, connections and snapshots in the 53 cities of the region, revealing the simultaneities and non-simultaneities of the Grand Snail Tour.
