Nadine Redlich

Nadine Redlich lives and works as a cartoonist in Düsseldorf. The publication of her style-defining “Ambient Comics” by Rotopol was followed by many more books: After her soulful exploration of the inner lives of stones in “Stones,” her hateful love letter “I Hate You – You Just Don't Know It Yet,” and her meditation on fear in “Paniktotem,” Nadine Redlich's latest book, “Doing the Work,” is all about the struggles of everyday life. Her cartoons and comics can be found in a variety of publications, including The New York Times, DIE ZEIT, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frieze Magazine, Le Monde, and Elbphilharmonie Magazine.

The Grand Snail Tour will be accompanied by literary, photographic and illustrative artists, who will collect impressions and reflections from the same city at the same time as the Trailer is there and put them into visual or literary form. The result is a paratext on the three-year tour, a travel chronicle in the form of a kaleidoscope of stories, connections and snapshots in the 53 cities of the region, revealing the simultaneities and non-simultaneities of the Grand Snail Tour.
