Antonia Kölbl

Antonia Kölbl is the editor-in-chief of TEXTE ZUR KUNST. She studied art history and American studies in Berlin, Annandale-on-Hudson, and Montreal. Her thesis on German-German exhibition history was awarded the Humboldt Prize in 2022. Since September 2022, she has been a member of the editorial team of TEXTE ZUR KUNST, which she has headed since September 2024. Her art criticism focuses on questions of exhibition politics and reception history. She also regularly moderates discussions for live and print formats.

The Grand Snail Tour will be accompanied by literary, photographic and illustrative artists, who will collect impressions and reflections from the same city at the same time as the Trailer is there and put them into visual or literary form. The result is a paratext on the three-year tour, a travel chronicle in the form of a kaleidoscope of stories, connections and snapshots in the 53 cities of the region, revealing the simultaneities and non-simultaneities of the Grand Snail Tour.
